Tara is a novice aura reader. Not novice in seeing them, that started as a child, but has not been too accurate at reading them. So, she takes lessons on learning about her gift which leads to a new career for her proposed by her teacher. Enter the chrime lord of Perth, a dreamy ex-basketball player and let tge games begin. To say Tara learns her lesson is too tongue in cheek but she certainly learns lots of new things to do with her gift and meets some unusual people.

If you have a finely tuned sense of humour, or simply a nerve that recognises good writing with witty, pithy prose, then you will like this book. The story has many twists and turns and the characters are all believable. The descriptions of their foibles and motives are recognisable and I am sure we all recognise the main character's parents, either in ourselves, our relatives or in our friends. The story line moves at an even pace and the injection of humour lightens the more esoteric moments. I am already seeking out the next book in the series, since the plot read in the preview sounds intriguing!

I live in Perth, the setting of this funny story. It's great to see my
regular stomping grounds come up in the descriptions, and a positive plus
to hear English usage as I might hear it in every day conversations around
the shop here! A good feel for the local flavour. I had no idea Wembley
Ware was made here!
