โStill,โ Josie pulled her to the curb, watching the firefighters work for a moment before turning her attention back to her grandmother and brushing hair out of her eyes. โWhat happened?โ
โIt was the oven. You know Iโve been saying I need to get it replaced,โ she sighed and leaned on her granddaughter.
โThe important thing is that youโre fine.โ She kissed the top of the older womanโs head.
One of the firefighters came up to them and removed his helmet. He had dark hair, deep brown eyes, and an air of confidence and strength. โAre you okay, maโam?โ
