Code Name: Heist

It pains me to say this but this is not my favorite Sawyer book. It was hard to get into and it didn't seem to flow until the second half of the book. This book is about second chances. Second chances on love, life, employment, and redemption. Saint and Sin used to work together in a life a crime as thieves and doing jobs together. Also, they were lovers until one day. That one day everything changed and one went to prison the other continued their life of crime. While working on a job Sin found out some information. Based on that information she made a decision in regards to Saint. That decision landed Saint in jail and he not only lost his freedom but also part of his family. Sin's reasoning for letting Saint going to jail doesn't make much sense to me. Once Saint found out why she did what she did he forgave her in an instant. Then became romantically involved with her all in the same breath. If you lost part of your life you would be at the minimum a little bitter and want some time to think it over and reconcile it in your mind. Everything seemed to happen in a short amount of time. I think some of this is in part because it is a short book . The Heist is definitely worth reading but not a book I would read again.

This was one phenomenal read. Sawyer Bennett’s attention to detail was amazing. The descriptive way she writes each heist makes you wonder if she has personal experience with it. LOL. This story was so captivating you could not put it down. Her characters are always good but add to this one the heists and you have an incredible story. The details, the chemistry between Sin and Saint, and the excitement of the heists will keep you glued to every word. They have a past, the connection was already there but she was the reason he was sent to prison. He never knew the reason she “betrayed” him but now he knows and those feelings he had for her have returned and he sees her as his forever. The only thing standing in the way is completing this final heist and not getting themselves killed. Heist is one fantastic, incredible, amazing read. A true 5 star read that you will not want to miss. It takes a hold on the first word and won’t let go until the final word. Sawyer Bennett has outdone herself as usual. She gives her readers everything and so much more.

***** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ***** So I jumped right into the middle of this series and started with series with Code Name: Heist. I really enjoyed the tention in this audiobook... it was alive with it. Saint and Sin are amazing together... and not just working a high tech, super sleuth operation together but they way they move and think together. My favorite is the way neither have let the other go and boy do they want too... at first anyway. Gahhh... I just loved the tension and chemistry oozing out of this story and these characters. Joe Arden and Mackenzie Cartwright are amazing storytellers. They gave Sin and Saint these fabulous personas. Sawyer Bennett may have developed them and have given them upbeat characteristics but the narrators really breath life into them. This was a great listen. It was a high tense and suspenseful feeling story and I'm excited that I can go back and listen to the earlier books in the series.
