Inspiring young woman, but the book was poorly written, constructed and
personally, would have liked to have understood more about the extent of
the failings, this was rushed and skimmed over in a nonchalant way, very
oddly composed "novel".

How brave are the survivors to do what they did. I never saw what he and
his brothers did as abuse throughout the book until he was brought to
justice. It's easy to see how there are so many victims. The people that
protected him should hang their heads in shame. Well done Sammy and co.

Couldn't put this book down. A shockingly blunt and matter-of-fact telling of one strong survivor's experiences of child abuse, manipulation and exploitation. Sammy - you are extremely brave and an inspiration to all of us.

About the author
Sammy Woodhouse was 14 when she became the victim of grooming. After escaping, Sammy had the courage to blow the whistle on child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, prompting the Jay Report that identified at least 1400 victims, and culminating in a high-profile court case that saw her abuser jailed for 35 years.
Sammy, now 32, works with the police, schools, the NHS and many other key agencies to help prevent more children from becoming victims, and to help other survivors move on with their lives. She campaigns for Sammy's Law, which will ensure children cannot be charged for committing crimes whilst they were being groomed. She hopes this will encourage more victims to come forward. Her aim is to prevent future generations from having their lives devastated by child sexual exploitation.
