About this ebook

Meanwhile, in a local support group for people with control issues…

Hi! I’m Joey, and I’m learning to cope with not having control over any aspect of my life.

Really, I am.

So what if my boyfriend’s parents are here for a visit. I can deal with that, right? They probably won’t completely hate me. I’m sure they won’t judge me for being an unrepentant bumpkin.

Oh, and somebody's trying to kill my mom. There's no way that can end badly.

But, surely I can find the villain before he accomplishes his deadly task, right?

At least Hal's parents are here to watch me completely melt down and lose my mind. Sooo, that's cool.

Sigh… Stick a pitchfork in me. I’m dung.

So here we are, back in Deer Hollow with Joey and Hal, not to mention devoted pit bull Caphy, aloof cat La Lee and, of course, the little pig Ethel Squeaks, who lives indoors and thinks she's a dog. In this book things take a more serious turn with somebody making a serious attempt on the life of Joey's mother, a previous villain beginning to look less villainous (or not). All in all, a great read and a great continuation of the story. I was fortunate enough to get hold of an advanced review copy and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.

Resurrected Bumpkin is the seventh book in the Country Cousin Mysteries and is a must-read for fans of creative cozy mysteries. I love this series. The books never fail to make me smile at the people, fur babies, and situations. In this case, some questions from the past are being answered while more questions arise. I cannot wait for the next book in this delightful series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

Dead people are popping up! Joey and Hal have survived another case. Garland Medford is dead so Joey’s mom SHOULD be safe and she is coming to visit. If that isn’t stressful enough, Hal’s parents are coming too and that always puts Joey into a meltdown. She still has hope that her life might get back to some semblance of normal until she gets a mysterious call comes from a phone that should not be making mysterious calls. Besides the mystery and danger, the story has all the characters that I enjoy. Joey’s cousin and partner in mayhem also shows up and Caphy, Ethel Squeaks, and LaLee are always good for some comedy relief. This is an entertaining series that I can always count on to deliver humor and a good mix of danger and mystery. I received a free copy of the book but my opinions are honest and voluntary. A big thumbs up!
