Owen M. Smith, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Classical Studies at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He has taught philosophy courses on mysticism, Hermeticism, and Gnosticism, as well as study-abroad courses in Greece. He and his wife Anne enjoy doing creative work while sitting in their living room, surrounded by books, cats and candles (a combination that requires diligent monitoring).
