About this ebook

Ashtavakra in Sanskrit means 'the one who is bent at eight places.' But that was the name of the boy. He was deformed at birth. But then he went on to become the most famous scholars of all times.

In fact, Ashtavakra was so great that he was the spiritual teacher of Janaka - the ancient king of Videha who was the father of Sita - the heroine of the Ramayana.

This is the story of Ashtavakra.

A retelling.
