If you have any standards when it comes to writing quality, then this novel probably isn't for you. The novel starts out okay enough. Lots of characters are introduced, relationships are explained, personalities are fleshed out, world building is done, etc. and for the most part it's done well enough for scenes that come later on to actually have an emotional impact. The problem is that the story actually manages to get worse as it progresses. All the details that the author elaborated on early on? A lot of those get glossed over. The author seems to forget a lot of their own details, too, to the point where time frames are inconsistent even in the span of just one chapter. The final chapter was my final straw. The romance (and I use that word VERY loosely) feels like it was written by a preteen. Very cringy and (in my opinion) incredibly creepy. The story aside, J-Novel Club left more than a few grammatical errors in this. There are also some translation errors, one of which is major.

Arifureta stands apart from other stories in this genre with its main character using wits and intelligence to overcome challenges, a refreshing change from other Isekai stories. When the entire field is so tired that publishers are exhausted, to find a story which builds upon and surpasses the tired tropes one witnesses elsewhere.
