With illustrations sure to inspire any young child and a compelling story-line, this book is a complete must read for children. It also serves as a great starting point for kids to start reading independently and gives great vocabulary for any aspirational young writer. The story is well-written and is easy to follow for young people and serves as a great starting point to show kids the way books are written and different aspects of a book such as a dilemma, climax and how an issue can be resolved both in writing and in real life.

This is a great story about a bat who learns that the story of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ is a lot better than being a part of a pagan holiday. James L. King III turns this story of Halloween into the hope that you can have at Christmas and knowing that Jesus Christ loves you. This is a 5 star book and worth every penny you spend to show your children that there are more important things than candy and ghosts. Karis Keeley did a great job with the illustrations too.

About the author

James Legrand King III earned degrees in music theory and composition at Furman University and the University of South Carolina, then embarked on a music-filled career. Church music director, club DJ, theme park performer, piano instructor, youth pastor, sheet music editor, and college music educator are some of the directions his life has already taken. He currently teaches music appreciation at Florida Keys Community College in Key West, Florida, and piano lessons privately throughout the Keys and the Miami area.

James' compositions include Learning the Code, a piano primer available for download at the Internet Archive; Friends Forever, a piano duet available from the FJH Music Company; solo piano works offered at the International Music Score Library Project; and the stage musical version of Rocko.

Karis Keeley lives in Chester, Virginia and enjoys lasagna, video games, and long moonlit walks on the beach with women. But he doesn't live near a beach and he's too young to date women. So he illustrates books instead.
