In Rights of Man, Founding Father of the United States Thomas Paine makes a compelling case in favor of the French Revolution. Thomas Paine (1737–1809) was a political activist and philosopher best known for his pamphlet Common Sense. The popularity and significance of his writings, including The American Crisis, have led historians to call him the Father of the American Revolution.
