About this ebook

Two years. One proposal. I walked away then, and I lost it all.

He asked me to marry him–a question I wasn’t prepared for then. It changed everything.

Two years later, a phone call sends me running back to the last place where I thought I’d be—Fortuity.

The plan is to stay for a couple of weeks before I return to Chicago, keeping my head low and avoiding trouble. Problem is, Chase starts to make my walls crumble. I need to stay away, and he’s determined not to let me go. Only he’s not interested about the past. He insists we make one harmless deal—

keeping the peace for as long as I’m here.

This book felt a little disjointed and rushed. There seemed to be a lot of focus on going around in circles, but then other, perhaps more important parts, were rushed through. Spoiler; How was she found? How long was she gone? I just felt like the story kept jumping. Not a terrible book, an easy read if you can get past some of the content.

3.5 Stars. Truce or Dare by Rica Grayson It was a sweet sweet novel, and I found myself having conflicting feelings about the main characters, it felt like they were forcing themselves to be together, the heroine sometimes sounded confused and the hero was not giving me an alpha male vibe, and the love making scenes felt weak, it didn't give me the punch I wanted from them connecteing on an intimate level. but I did enjoy the book its Rica's debut novel so I'm hoping she improves her characters. The flow of the book was nice and it slow burned...

I stuck it out until about 1/2 way then threw in the towel. Disjointed. Frustrating. Seemed like some scenes were supposed to ge flashbacks but no way of knowing. Various characters full of angst. Not enjoyable.
