Helped by Ava: A Sweet Romantic Comedy Novel (Cowboy Small Town Marriage of Convenience RomCom Story)

This is book 3 in Carrington's Stargazer Springs Ranch series. A sweet, clean, funny romance that is well written and sure to please. I love that these main characters being of an age! Ava blunders around MadDog who's been a widow for awhile - both are attracted to the other but Ava feels undesirable and well MadDog's been out of the dating scene for awhile. Great characters who are relatable and funny situations make this a laugh out loud read that's sure to warm your heart! Loved it! I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it. The story is written in my favorite dual POV format. Getting that glimpse into a character's thoughts really help me to better understand and connect with the characters. For some reason, though, I had a hard time connecting to either character. It isn't because the characters weren't realistic (they totally were especially Ava) but it just didn't resonate with me. For some reason, that I can't expl

Ava & Mad Dog are in their 50's, have been attracted to each other but personal issues have kept them apart until an accident involving lemon bars & women gossip forces them into marriage. The rest of the story is about them learning to give in to their feelings of love & developing a loving relationship. The name Mad Dog made me cringe every time I read it. I can not imagine being called that. He is a sweet man but the name just conjures the wrong image in my mind. It is a sweet story. How certain women treat Ava is far too typical & unfortunate.
