I am a fan of Iris Johansen's work. I thought the book was well written and the characters were well rounded. I was surprised by some of the twists in the story line, which is always a good thing. I will say that the male lead, Alex, was very mysterious and his role in the mystery was very slowly revealed. Nice suspense.

Never have I cared less about a group of characters. The main characters had no chemistry, the heroine was a snoozefest - very un-Iris Johansen-like since I am always assured of strong, admirable heroines; the hero was a little more likeable, the villain's motives made no sense to me - was he in some homosexual, stalker-bit with the hero? If that had been the case, I probably would have enjoyed it more if she had simply called a spade a spade. Also too many characters who weren't even interesting even though we were encouraged to care about them... Ugh, I just simply liked nothing about it except Johansen's writing, which is always solid. In my opinion, terrible ending to a good series. I know Final Target comes after, but that didn't seem a sequel, more a tie-in, so I consider it as such
