As a long-term fan of the author, I’ve enjoyed his Doc Ford series for quite some time. From my favorites Captiva and Mangrove Coast, to the stellar recent entry Night Moves, I’m always enthralled with how Mr. White can keep releasing such high quality material. Cuba Straights is, I can wholly attest, another triumph. The intrigue surrounding Castro and the discovery of secret material in an exotic locale that is so vibrantly described keeps the pages turning. For anyone who is not already a fan, the easy suspension of disbelief, multidimensional characters, and palpable scenery will easily make you one. Arriving at White’s doorstep after reading the author’s like Cussler and Mcdonald, I quickly transitioned into his style and found myself not reading the others nearly as much. I think it’s partially because I love Tomlinson and never cease to snicker hard enough to wake up my wife while reading late. I’m also quite attached to Ford of course and like the varying POV’s the author utilizes with differing books. I simply loved this novel and I'm sure that whoever else buys it will feel the same way.

I love Tomlinson & laughed so much through this book. Also, it's not one where you have to read all the previous one to keep up. Float on Tomlinson, float on.
