Bastard Capital: Volume Two: A romantic suspense collection

The stories were good and the books had fairly smooth flows to them. The character work in the books were great. It was so nice to have them all together in one collection. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed reading Paul and Grace, Elliot and Minerva, and Dev and Anjie's stories. I think out of the three in the set, Elliot and Minerva's story was the best. I love good enemies to lovers romance and these two had it hands down. Favorite scene is when they were cuddle up talking about their dreamlife together. Their banter was the best. Paul and Grace reminded me kind of sorta like the movie Crazy Rich Asians...some aspects...it was a sweet story. Dev and Anjie had that forbidden love feel but I didn't really get why Anjie held out on her feelings so long until towards the end. Dev's background story was sad and it help that he had Anjie in his corner. All in all this box set was great and I'm glad I was given the chance to read the Bad Boys stories.

Raleigh Davis is becoming a fast favourite author of mine, her books are never boring that’s for sure. Intimate Mergers This is the story of Grace and Paul. Grace is encountering immigration issues as is about to be deported, when her visa is revoked due to her previous employer having friends in high places and that’s when Paul steps in. Paul has been dodging his mother’s attempts at marrying him off, she’s has recently been stepping up on her campaign to the point where she has the ring and marriage license waiting. Knowing this needs to be nipped in the bud as soon as possible he offers Grace a fake engagement, but when the feelings they are faking become more and more real each day how will handle their feelings and are they real? Hostile Attractions Elliott and Minerva,have a love to hate relationship, so when Minerva who has been working under the name of Emily while working at Corvus undercover is now in danger after finally getting the evidence she needs against her boss turns to Elliott for help and to hide her, no one would ever think that is where would hide out especially if they have witnessed their behaviour to wards one another. She is shocked when he agrees but she has all the evidence needs to finally take down the man how could he torn her away. But when they find themselves realising that there is a fine line between love and hate will they give in to the feelings they are developing towards one another and if they do will they survive everything coming their way? Private Disclosures Aniji and Dev are insanely attracted to one another but with him being her boss has always known that she couldn’t act on her feeling but now that she has made partner there is nothing stopping them. Or so Dev thought, but when she declines he knows he will have to fight for what they could have, will Dev be able to find out why Aniji won’t give them a chance and if he does will this man be able to let her in to his heart or will they both end up with broken hearts? Each one of these books are gripping from the very first page, there are twists, turns, danger, intrigue, love and with enough heat to make you burn. Highly recommended series. 4.5🌟 read. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book.
