Believing he had lost the only woman that called to his heart, Quintus is surprised when his would-be rescuer stirs something within. Gabriella Savoie doesn’t have time for relationships especially a relationship involving a man who could destroy her life. On the run since the death of her mother, Gabriella knows revealing her true identity could very well get her killed. The relationship between Gabriella and Quintus is one of immediate attraction but there is something about Gabby’s blood that calls to the world of the supernatural including a family heritage that threatens the people in charge. Quintus is desperate to protect the woman that calls to his heart but our heroine is determined to go on-alone. The sex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense with some M/F/M sexual situations. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and animated secondary and supporting character including Quintus’ brother Viktor; and alpha wolf shifter Hunter Livingston, as well as the return of a number of previous story line characters. The requisite evil has many faces targeting both Quintus and Gabriella –together. QUINTUS is a story of family, betrayal, vengeance, power and love. The action-packed, premise is entertaining and enthralling; the characters are colorful, charismatic and energetic; the romance is spell-binding and passionate. QUINTUS is a spirited, animated and provocative story of fated mates and enchanting powers.

The next Immortal's story is of the ancient vampire Quintus. After he is attacked and left to die, our heroine, Gabby, a tough hybrid, saves him. We find that she needs his help, and he also gets old favorites involved. Their lives and troubles intertwine, for a hot, intense story that you won't be able to put down.

One of my all-time favorite series. I was so excited to see a new book. I not only have the ebooks, I have all the audios as well. Warning: This series falls under the "Some Like It Hot" category. Quintus, ancient powerful vampire, wakes up in a New Orleans crypt. Not so bad for a vamp--unless you've been poisoned and subdued with silver. When a gorgeous woman helps him by giving him her supercharged blood he is renewed and wonders the cost. Of course, there is one. Gabriella has been running from the witch coven that murdered her mother since she was barely a teen. She is tired of running and fears they are about to catch up with her. Quintus shimmers her to New York where he needs to bring the community of vamps back in control, promising to protect her. He knows there is something different about her. The job of protecting her brings them both into a web of secrets, nasty PNR creatures, new surprising allies, and an all-consuming desire. As with each book in the series, it is primarily about one couple, drawing on characters from previous books. If you haven't read the other books you will still enjoy this one completely, however, I warn you that you will want to read more of this series. Will Quintus be able to protect Gabby? At what cost? Will the realization of what their special connection is bring them together or separate them forever? You will share the joys and heartbreaks as well as the romance.
