For a time, he had no answers for his preoccupation. A new face, Roger Blaisdell, sensed Kirk’s emptiness, bonded and re-energized him. Together, they helped Devlin solve deaths, both old and new, redefining community leadership in Woodland Park for another generation.

He then began writing mystery fiction, 15 short stories, Jonas Kirk Mysteries: The Collection (2017). His most recent Jonas Kirk adventure, a novella, is found in BINGO (2018). Married and resides in Bakersfield, California.
