Om forfatteren

Arthur Wallis was an internationally known author and leader in what became known as the “house church movement” in Great Britain. Born in Dublin in 1922, he was the younger son of Reginald Wallis, a well-known convention speaker and author of several Christian books. His father’s death in 1940 precipitated a spiritual crisis for Arthur, and he sensed a call to full-time ministry, but this was not to be realized until after World War II. He served in the British Army in North Africa, Italy, and Macedonia, narrowly escaping death in one battle as one of only 20 survivors in a battalion of 400. After the war, Arthur went into the ministry, and in later life served on a leadership team overseeing a group of over thirty churches. He also devoted himself to a worldwide speaking and writing ministry. In 1956, CLC published his first book, In the Day of Thy Power, a significant historical study of revivals, their purpose, distinctive features and dynamics. He went on to author nine books, including the classic bestseller God's Chosen Fast.
