About the author

Dr Praveen Kumar earned his MSc from the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, India, and subsequently completed his PhD at Assam Agricultural University, India. Dr Kumar's academic journey is marked by numerous prestigious fellowships, such as the Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s National Talent Fellowship and Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s Junior Research Scholarship. Currently, Dr Kumar serves as Assistant Professor at the Agricultural Research Station, Mandor, India.

Dr Mainu Hazarika earned her MSc and PhD in vegetable science from Assam Agricultural University, India. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Horticulture at the Arunachal University of Studies, India. With seven years of research experience and two years of teaching experience, she has published over 15 research papers in reputable journals, along with two book chapters.

Meghana Singh Rajotia earned her BSc from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, India, and MSc from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, India, where she is currently pursuing her PhD in genetics and plant breeding. Rajotia is an emerging talent in the field of conventional plant breeding, with a notable specialization in heat stress breeding.
