About this ebook

Stumbling off the bus in Midtown, Harley Martin thought she found an escape from her old life. She soon realizes it was anything but that. Low on cash and options, she manages to find herself a cheap but surprisingly nice apartment. The catch? The last tenant, Brody Walsh, killed himself. Or did he?

As disturbing dreams and hauntings start to occur, Harley realizes there may be much more behind the previous tenant’s death than a simple suicide. She finds her life further entangled with his when she learns that her new boss, Nolan, was also his best friend. Could this handsome but evasive pub owner have something to do with Brody’s death?

Trying to piece together the events surrounding Brody’s death proves to be a daunting task, but Harley can’t give up. Brody won’t let her. He is still in the apartment with her, trapped in limbo until she finds his killer.

But he’s not waiting for revenge.

Harley’s next.

Fun, fast, and enjoyable guilty pleasure-style book. I absolutely loved the interplay between Aggie, Nolan and Harley. I would note a few minor issues though which brought it down from a five-star for me. 1. Too many concussions for the main character within a short period (based on the frequency it would seem to me she should possibly have been a vegetable mid-way through the book). 2. the spelled-out accents in combination with what seemed to be region-specific phrases pulled me out of the story a couple of times (I really had to make an effort to understand what was being said two or three times, which is unusual for me). 3. there were a few minor editing issues that distracted me from the flow of the story (mostly in the middle). However, overall it was definitely an enjoyable read and well-worth the time spent reading it.

Great story, with some pretty good twists and turns in the plot. Loved the fact that there was a cute lil fat kitten in the story line, as I am a cat lover myself. I read this in one setting...all the while my latest addition to my fur baby family lay in between my legs curled up and purring 💖💖💖

I liked the story and how easy of read it was. It was kind of different that every day type things like damage to an apartment didnt get included in the storyline. I really liked the characters. I wanted to know why so many of the people in that town spoke with accents. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
