Ana Luisa Anza nació en la Ciudad de México en 1957. Comenzó a inventar cuentos cuando sus hijos se aburrieron de oír las mismas historias y tuvo que usar la imaginación para hacer que empezaran a soñar. En la colección El Barco de Vapor tiene publicado "Solovino, el perro equivocado" y "...Y los dragones se fueron".
