About the author
Patrick Carr ist einer der renommiertesten Country-Journalisten. Er schreibt für verschiedene Country-Zeitschriften, den "Rolling Stone" und die "New York Times". Carr kannte Johnny Cash seit 1972 persönlich und veröffentlichte mehrere Texte über die Country-Ikone. Der Autor lebt in Florida.
Johnny Cash, 1932–2003, schrieb in seiner Karriere etwa 500 Songs, verkaufte mehr als 53 Millionen Tonträger. Legendär waren seine Konzerte in Folsom Prison und San Quentin Ende der 60er-Jahre. Mit den »American Recordings«, fand er zuletzt auch weltweite große Anerkennung.
