About the author

Pamela Minett (BSc (Hons), Biological sciences) is the author of educational textbooks including Child Care & Development, now in its 7th edition, and The Environment Explained series. She is also co-author, with David Wayne and David Rubenstein, of Human Form & Function. Pamela is an experienced teacher and publisher and has been an examiner in Human Biology for various awarding bodies. She was a director of the Book Trust and was Chair of the former Scientific and Technical Group of the Society of Authors.

Dr Laura Ginesi (PhD; BSc (Hons); PGCE; Cert. HE) is an applied physiologist with more than 30 years’ experience of physiological education. Currently working at the University of East Anglia as an Associate Tutor, Laura gained experience across the FE/HE sector teaching a wide range of students who are destined for the healthcare professions. She is also an antenatal educator, life coach and co-author, with Catharine Jenkins and Bernie Keenan, of Dementia Care at a Glance. In addition, she is a Fellow of the International Stress Management Association (ISMA) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her interest in wellbeing, nutrition and stress management first arose through research concerning long-term blood pressure regulation.
