About this ebook

One of the twentieth century’s greatest spiritual teachers inspires us to experience and appreciate both the elation—and sadness—of Joy: The Happiness That Comes from Within.

With an artful mix of compassion and humor, Osho shows us that joy is the essence of life, that even unhappiness has its root in joy. He encourages us to accept joy by being grateful to be alive and for the challenges and opportunities in life, and by finding the good in all that we have—rather than setting conditions or demands for happiness. By embracing joy, one comes closer to a true, peaceful, and balanced state.

Osho challenges readers to examine and break free of the conditioned belief systems and prejudices that limit their capacity to enjoy life in all its richness. He has been described by the Sunday Times of London as one of the “1000 Makers of the 20th Century” and by Sunday Mid-Day (India) as one of the ten people—along with Gandhi, Nehru, and Buddha—who have changed the destiny of India. Since his death in 1990, the influence of his teachings continues to expand, reaching seekers of all ages in virtually every country of the world.

This is not just a book, but a guide, montor and a way of life. This book independently changed my outlook for life. But believe i have to keep going back to my mentor, the book, for peace time and again. We human beings are so complicated that i can actually challenge the social structure requirement itself. The society at macro level and family at micro levels are our strength but if watch carefully they are the sole origination of all our woes in life as well. our expectations from ourselves are the reason of complications, and our constant denial to accept what we are, to fit in into a family or social system is what makes us search the truth of life...if each soul is independent and not in pressure to perform at social standards, there would be no need for us to adultrate the new life god gifts us and as each independent life we will be comfortable with what we are; we do not need to challange our deep rooted truths just to be in tandem with the worldly truths and sense of rights and wrongs, this complicates and we as a soul or life become so called "human beings",wholistically what we are today. We all need a realty check, and rise independent, believe in the joy that comes from within and respect the life that we are.

This is an amazing book. Osho has a very direct writing style that can be a little jarring at times. However, his approach engages you to take action. I will definitely read this book again and again and again. Buy this book!
