Ok! Ukrainian language for beginners

It is a new textbook with unique modern material of Ukrainian vocabulary, grammar. It is suitable both for self-study of the Ukrainian language and for group work. The book is more suitable for those who are already familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet or want to learn it with a teacher. Information is given gradually, step by step, for effective memorization and understanding of grammar. The book also draws attention to stress, all dialogues and exercises with texts have stress. The textbook has illustrations and also a place to write your answers. Please see the Appendix for verb forms and a dictionary for each lesson. There is a link to audio recordings inside this book. More than 20 records will help you understand pronunciation and stress, learn to read letters, words and phrases. For self-study: at the end of the book there are keys to exercises with which you can check yourself.

In this tutorial, the terms at the beginning and the dictionary at the end are translated into English. But the book is aimed at a multilingual audience and is suitable for a student from any country to work with.

The book is suitable for students, tourists and anyone who wants to master the material enough to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and simple phrases. Also to represent yourself and others, ask and answer questions about personal data, interact with other people in a simple conversation. The material in this textbook corresponds to level A1.

About the Author

Ilona Smahlii has worked for more than 10 years at the university, teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language. She works as an online foreign language instructor now. By studying the needs of her students, she created her own teaching material.
