Her Christmas Knight

Her Christmas Knight is number six in author Nicole Locke's Lovers and Legends series and what a fantastic story it is!  Our hero is Hugh of Shoebury who we met previously in the very first book, The Knight's Broken Promise. I love finding out about characters we met previously and I have been wondering what happened to Hugh... Hugh was a friend of Robert the hero in the first story. At the end of that story, Hugh ends up leaving with a vow to keep a dangerous secret for a friend. So I was thrilled to get the chance to finally know Hugh and WOW what a story he has! Our heroine Alice has loved Hugh since they were children, but their final parting was not on good terms. After six years apart these two meet up again to only have misunderstandings, spys, a traitor and the King of England between them. Hugh and Alice had many obstacles that at times even I felt they would not overcome them. But author Nicole Locke never disappoints with her writing and she pulled me in and gave me a great story with fascinating characters and the hint and hope of a future story in the epilogue! What more could you want, but maybe Eldrich's story in the near future..... Highly recommend the entire series!
