It's always easy reading nicholas sparks books. It makes you fall in love all over again. Dear john is no exceptional. But yeah it leaves me sad n heart heavy...The way John sacrificed his love.

SPOIL-i love the book could not put it down Watching the movie after is what i disliked. In the movie they changed characters such as Allen (Tims son instead of brother) My point being the book had more details showing how john + Savannahs came to love eachother + difficulties faced in their relationship. it also has a great message at the end of the book that if you truly love someone you would want nothing but to see them happy whereis the movie has john being shot instead of showing his love for Savannah
