About the author

Jen Breach was born in Melbourne, Australia. She is a former archaeologist and librarian. Currently she works as a business analyst for a contemporary music college. She has been self-publishing since 2006. Her work, illustrated by Douglas Holgate, includes a picture book, Something's Amiss at the Zoo (a picture book), Clem Hetherington and the Ironwood Race (a graphic novel), and Maralinga, book 1 of a series and winner of a 2014 Australian Society of Authors Children's Picture Book Illustrators' Initiative prize and a 2016 Bronze Ledger Award.
