About this ebook

From birth, Katerina had everything. Born into a wealthy family, she received an impeccable education, and luck gave her both intelligence and beauty.

Until she screwed it all up by falling for the wrong guy.

Cursed by the same incident as Aleksandr, Grigoriy, and Alexei, when Katerina finally awakes, the world is unrecognizable. She also can't use her magical powers or shift into her horse form without villainous intervention.

When Katerina discovers the information her powerful and vindictive ex has been searching for, will she use it to destroy him or regain his good opinion? The last time, she bet on the wrong horse, and she doesn't plan to make the same mistake twice.

The Russian Witch Curse saga continues as the gang needs to find Kristiana’s brother in the United States and get him to beat Leonid. I really enjoyed this book as Daniel/Gustav is blindsided by the truth of his family right as he’s about to get the desire of his heart, or what he thinks is his heart’s desire. My favorite part of the book though is when we are some beloved characters from B.E. Baker’s Bequests series. We had a tease in The Lookback that there was a relation to the Liepa Family.

Bridget's done it again! This book differs from the previous ones in the series in all the best ways. We get to see Katerina's story (present AND past, which we didn't get for the other shifters) but we also get to see the point of view of Daniel/Gustav. This story pulls things together beautifully, pulling strings from the earlier titles together while leaving enough suspense and intrigue for the future stories. A true win tying not just Russian folktales but others together as well! MUST READ!

This book follows a similar line of the horse-shifting Russian royalty having been cursed for 100 years. It tells the tale of the mysterious Katerina and you aren’t sure if you hate her or tolerate her for part of the book. The flashbacks of her younger life really help flesh out who she is, why she acts the way she does, and also gives more context to the lives and actions of the other Russians. A main character living in America is introduced into the mix and there is a crossover

About the author

Bridget has way too many kids, way way too many horses, more chickens than anyone should have without running a commercial farm, too many dogs, and too many cats. It makes sense that she'd also write way too many books. And as you might imagine, her husband is either as patient as a saint, or a glutton for punishment. (Maybe a little bit of both...)
