Eric raised his hand to my face. The back of his knuckles brushed across my cheek. “I promise to take care of you, if you let me.”
I found myself wanting his warmth and softness. What would it feel like to have his body pressed against mine?
“Say yes,” he whispered. “Say yes and I’ll make it all go away.”
His thumb passed over my lips. The word was on the tip of my tongue. Eric was the answer to my financial independence, but at what cost? What did he have in store for me?
I looked at the leather overnight bag. He followed my gaze. Eric turned my face towards his and kissed me. His lips were light and soft on mine. My chest tightened. I wanted to feel his warm lips all over my body.
“Say yes,” he whispered as he kissed my neck. His hand slid around my waist. He pressed his body against mine. I rested my hand on his chest while his lips explored my neck.
“Yes,” I moaned.
He grabbed my wrist and twisted it around my back, spinning me so that my back was to his front. I gasped.
“Eric-”
“Shh… I promise this won’t hurt.”
There was no turning back now...
