My City Links: November 2019 Issue

Private schools have contributed a lot to improving the quality of education in recent years. Many of them are, however, also implementing a concept that promotes discrimination instead of the stated objective, that of nurturing academic brilliance. Segregating students into different classes or sections on the basis of their academic performance is having a disturbing impact. We speak to parents, teachers, and psychologists who explain how the system is having a negative impact on many young minds.
