Dragon Lord: A Paranormal Urban Fantasy Shifter Romance

I absolutely loved this new story. It grabs your attention immediately and never lets go. Thrilling page after page, full of mystery, suspense, danger, quick thinking, drama and so much more. Mia is feisty, smart, honorable, cautious and has reason to be. She's hiding a secret. She meets Ashur who is strong, kind, natural born leader, determined and protective of his ppl. There is so much action packed into the book u can't put it down. I absolutely can't wait for the next book to see what happens next. So many plot twists. This is the first installment in this series and is Mia and Ashur's story. Mia lives in a domed city with the humans though she is a mix of dragon, human and phoenix though she doesn't know about the last one at the beginning of the story. Only the dragons and the Phoenix live outside the domes. She is hired/ blackmailed into taking a Phoenix child back to his Phoenix clan outside the dome. On the way to their territory she has to cross dragon territory and is caught. During her stay there she and Ashur grow closer. He tries to discourage her about finishing her mission as he feels its too dangerous. The journey however uncovers more family secrets and is quite an interesting read. Will Ashur and Mia resolve issues so they can be together. There is an intriguing twist at the end of this story that has to do with Mia's family I did not see coming. The story continues in the next book so I will have to grab the next in the series to see where it leads. I received a free copy of this

In this marvelously crafted world Mia does what she needs to in order to survive, including taking a job that will take her through the lands of the Dragon Lord, Ashur Jah, which, in most cases, would be a death sentence. When the two meet sparks fly and we then get to join them on the most amazing journey. The characters are wonderful and really likeable and I can definitely recommend this book to anyone.
