About this ebook

In Michelle Gagnon’s debut YA thriller, Don’t Turn Around, computer hacker Noa Torson is as smart, tough, and complex as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’s Lisbeth Salander.

The first in a trilogy, Don’t Turn Around’s intricate plot and heart-pounding action will leave readers desperate for book two.

Sixteen-year-old Noa has been a victim of the system ever since her parents died. Now living off the grid and trusting no one, she uses her hacking skills to stay anonymous and alone. But when she wakes up on a table in a warehouse with an IV in her arm and no memory of how she got there, Noa starts to wish she had someone on her side.

Enter Peter Gregory. A rich kid and the leader of a hacker alliance, Peter needs people with Noa’s talents on his team. Especially after a shady corporation threatens his life in no uncertain terms. But what Noa and Peter don’t realize is that Noa holds the key to a terrible secret, and there are those who’d stop at nothing to silence her for good.

I just finished reading this book a few days ago and I absolutely loved it! The storyline is captivating, the characters are totally badass, and all in all it pulls me into the story! The only bad thing I really noticed in it was numerous spelling and grammar mistakes. Now, I don't know if that's just in my head, but I swear I've read the sentences containing the mistakes over and over again and each time they didn't make sense. But that was probably just one of a few copies that had mistakes. And that still didn't take away from how awesome the book is.

I read the actual book and it was AMAZING!!!! I loved the characters and got really sad when one of them died (you'll have to read to find out who) I'm a pretty slow reader so it took me a long time to finish it but when I did I was sooo happy and I'm getting the second book tomorrow, I hope it's just as good!!

Was reading the free excerpt of the novel and ran into this line:"She had been heading downtown to pick up a new video card for her MacBook Pro" Now, I don't normally nit pick stories but when the character saying/thinking this is described as a gifted hacker I would think the author would have put some basic effort into understanding computers (for those who don't know you can't upgrade/change a laptops CPU or GPU). Can't bring myself to keep reading the excerpt. Otherwise seemed like standard run of the mill writing but my suspension of disbelief has been irrevocably broken.
