About the author

Simon Basher is an internationally recognized illustrator, author and artist. His range of work includes large-scale paintings, animation, print making and digital media. Simon is best known for creating and illustrating an innovative series of books that make science and other topics fun and accessible for both junior- and senior-school pupils. His book catalogue includes the series Basher Science, Basher Basics, Bobo and the Basher pre-school range. Basher books are available in over 20 countries and have sold over 3 million copies worldwide.

Mary Frances Budzik is the author of previous Basher Basics titles Grammar and Punctuation. She has a BA in English Literature from Boston College and an MA in English Literature from Columbia University. Consultant Meg Rosoff is an award-winning American author who lives in London. She is best known for her novel How I Live Now, which won the Guardian Award (2004), Michael L. Printz Award (2005) and Branford Boase Award (2005).
