I really like this book and others just like it. Its a good read because you see all types of uniforms worn by different militaries over centuries. I think I would like collecting books in this series. The detail in art and the descriptions make the story stand out to me. The connection between modern outfits and ancient ones is stunning. At times uniforms were heavy as in the Crusades and Middle Ages. Other times, they were light as in the Viking and Celtic periods.
