Interesting romance/mystery Claire did not want to go back home. But when she hears that her sister is dead, she comes back home to take care of her nephew Nick. Tucker is the coach in the school and Nick and Claire both like him for what he brings into their lives. That is when Nick tells Claire, that his mother was murdered. Alone with Tucker, Claire tries to get to the bottom of the mystery. The romance and the mystery were perfectly balanced and thoroughly enjoyable as it blended well with the character development. Liked it.

This is actually the first book in the series I have read and I am stoked I now get to go back and read another 5 books in the series!! The dynamic between Claire and Nick is so natural and I totally get the frustrations thy both have, thankfully Coach Tucker is there to make them both feel better about their situation as well as show an interest in them ie showing Nick he can do well in sports no matter his health and Claire that just because she isn't looking for love it is a mighty fine thing to have someone want you. Alas not everyone is happy about Claire wanting to learn more about what her sister Janice was like and doing just before her death so be ready for swooning, laughing, sadness, hope, twists, deceit and surprises you don't see coming!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

My first book by this author & it was free! Can't beat that. It had the required romane, but also an added mystery. A nice surprise. Blended elements well & had good character development. Not the same old same old. I look forward to reading more of her work. Well worth a read.
