Despite Banquo’s death, Macbeth becomes increasingly consumed by fear and paranoia. He seeks the witches again, demanding to know more about his future, only to hear ominous prophecies hinting at his downfall. Ignoring these warnings, Macbeth grows more ruthless in his pursuit of power, massacring Macduff’s family. Meanwhile, Lady Macbeth, tormented by guilt over their deeds, descends into madness and ultimately takes her own life. Macbeth, convinced of his invincibility, prepares for battle as his enemies gather strength. In the final confrontation, Macbeth faces Macduff and is ultimately defeated, bringing an end to his tyrannical reign. Duncan’s son, Malcolm, ascends to the throne, restoring peace to Scotland.
