A glance at the female characters in Mahabharata is enough to point out the hero of the epic. All these mothers have undergone such emotional trauma, over and over again, Maharishi Vyas also could not give justice to their sufferings. No one else has succeeded in describing their uniqueness as a separate personality. On the contrary; hardly anyone has tried to sketch their journey. All these females of Mahabharata cast a spell on us; they have the power to hypnotize us. They leave us spellbound. Once this spell is broken then the first impression it leaves on us is about all these mothers. There should be no second opinion about who is the main character of Mahabharata! Without any doubt it goes to those mothers, and their motherhood.
