About this ebook

From the Scottish Highlands and Spain, to South America and New York, The Moon Sister is the fifth epic story in the Seven Sisters series by the number one bestseller Lucinda Riley. A spellbinding story of love and loss, inspired by the mythology of the famous star constellation.

Tiggy D’Aplièse, in her mid-twenties, learns that her father – Pa Salt, an elusive billionaire who adopted his six daughters from around the globe – has died. Trusting her instincts, Tiggy moves to the remote wilds of Scotland and takes a job doing what she loves: caring for animals. Working on the vast and isolated Kinnaird estate, she is employed by the enigmatic and troubled laird, Charlie Kinnaird.

Her decision alters her future irrevocably when she meets Chilly, an elderly gypsy man who has lived for years on the estate. He tells her not only that she possesses a sixth sense, passed down from her ancestors, but that it was foretold long ago that he should send her back home to Granada, Spain . . .

In the shadow of the magnificent Alhambra, Tiggy discovers her connection to the fabled gypsy community of Sacromonte, who were forced to flee their homes during the civil war, and to ‘La Candela’ – the greatest flamenco dancer of her generation.

Tiggy follows the trail back to her own exciting but complex past. And, under the watchful eye of a gifted gypsy bruja, she begins to embrace her own talent for healing.

But when fate takes a hand, Tiggy must decide whether to stay with her new-found family or return to Kinnaird, and Charlie . . .

The epic, multi-million selling series continues with The Sun Sister.

This is one of my favourite series ever and so I couldn't wait to start reading this installment, although I must admit I was slightly wary as this book is about Tiggy who works as a wildlife consultant, so there are quite a few animals around which I'm not good with - well if anything happens to them anyway! So for people like me it was 95% OK, with just a bit of a blip halfway through (sad) and at the end (sad and happy), without giving anything major away! Apart from that the story was just like the others in this wonderful series and immediately drew you in from the very beginning - this time we were transported to the wilds of Scotland and the gypsies in Grenada in Spain. Tiggy initially starts working on the Kinnaird estate in Scotland when a sanctuary she is working at closes down. There she meets an elderly man who lives on the estate called Chilly, who it turns out had been told she would arrive one day and has a spiritual gift, just as Tiggy has. We also find out a little bit more about Chilly as the story is told and we go back in time to meet Tiggy's gypsy relatives. The story flicks back and forth between Tiggy in the present day in Scotland and in the past with her relatives in Grenada and the gypsies of Sacromonte in 1930s Spain, where they all lived in caves they made into homes, and also involves the war in Europe when people were fleeing the country, and it was all just so fascinating. I just get so immersed in these stories that even though each book is usually the longest book I read all year they don't feel like that and you just don't want them to end. I'm not sure what I'm going to do after this series does end as each book is the highlight of my year. I am so excited for the next book now, the 6th one, even if I have to wait a year, because it's the last of the sisters, Electra, who I don't really know a lot about - but there's '7 Sisters' so will there be a 7th book and if so what/who is it going to be about, and will the mystery of Pa Salt be revealed? Another little mystery about him towards the end of this one too with a secret in the cellar! So many questions to be resolved - can't wait!

This is the fifth in Irish author Lucinda Riley's popular Seven Sisters series and this novel does not let down its predecessors. For those who are new to the series - Pa Salt, a billionaire who adopted six daughters as babies, has died and in the first book, the sisters gather at their childhood home, a secluded castle on the shores of Lake Geneva where each receives a clue to their origins. Each book deals with a different sister and her story, although the books form a series, Ms Riley has written them so that they can be read in any order. The Moon Sister deals with Tiggy, who has moved to Scotland where she works, caring for animals on the vast and isolated Kinnaird Estate. Her situation alters when an ancient gypsy who lives on the estate, tells her that to find her destiny she must begin her search in Spain. Full of mystery and secrets, if you enjoy Romantic Suspense, then this book is definitely for you. Perfect for fans of Susanna Kearsley and Santa Montefiore.

Wonderful follow on from the other sisters books each one a truly magical story and individual. Can't wait for The Sun! Then hoping for the last one an insight on the seventh sister and a full explaination of the whole.
