"Pionier im verbotenen Land" - Hudson Taylor stößt als erster Missionar ins Innere Chinas vor. 1832 wurde er in England geboren und von seinen Eltern Gott geweiht. Nach vielen Vergnügungen bekehrte er sich und folgte dem Ruf Jesu. So machte er sich mit dem Segler "Dumpfries" auf den Weg nach China. Dort arbeitete er in chinesischer Kleidung und trug einen chinesischen Zopf. 1865 gründete am Strand von Brighton die CIM, die heutige ÜMG. Lothar von Seltman schildert lebendig das herausfordernde Leben dieses verwegenen Handlangers Gottes.
About the author
Lothar von Seltmann, Jahrgang 1943, arbeitete zunächst als Grund- und Hauptschullehrer, in der Lehrerausbildung und leitete dann eine Hauptschule. Er lebt mit seiner Frau Ulla in Hilchenbach/Siegerland. Bekannt wurde er durch erfolgreiche Romanbiographien wie "Miluscha" und "Die Chali hat uns Gott geschickt".
