I have read several of Staincliffe's one off novels and have loved every one so thought I would try a series. Considering this was written over 20 years ago, it isn't dated. I enjoyed reading about the lead protagonist's life and her quest for justice in her role as private detective. The characters were well written and varied and I was soon immersed in the story, full of mystery and suspense. Staincliffe writes about real people and real situations with insight and wisdom. Highly recommended.

A great read with good twists along the way - I loved it!
About the author
Cath Staincliffe is an award winning novelist, radio playwright and creator of ITV's hit series Blue Murder. Cath's books have been shortlisted for the CWA Best First Novel award. She was joint winner of the CWA Short Story Dagger in 2012. Letters To My Daughter's Killer was selected for the Specsavers Crime Thriller Book Club on ITV3 in 2014. Cath also writes the Scott & Bailey books based on the popular ITV series. She lives with her family in Manchester.
