Every Little Promise is the first book that I have read by Lexi Ryan and I really loved it. I gave this novella a try because it was free on Amazon and seemed like a book I would enjoy and even pre-ordered the first book in the Orchid Valley series. I really loved Every Little Promise and could not put it down. Who doesn't love a second chance at love and opposites attract romance. Lexi Ryan is definitely an author I will read more from. I love how Every Little Promise is written in the first person from the perspective of the two main characters and enjoy how it includes flashbacks from events that took place over ten years ago that impact both characters. Every Little Promise is the story of Brinley Knox, poor little rich girl and Marston Rowe, her first love who was "the staff". The story begins with Brinley and Marston meeting in a Las Vegas casino bar ten and half years after last seeing each other. Brinley has been stalking Marston and hoped that he would be at this particular casino bar on this particular night, her twenty-seventh birthday, the anniversary of the date that he first kissed her, her first kiss. Through the flashback scenes we discover that Marston was part of the staff working Brinley's elaborate sixteenth birthday party. Marston got into trouble at home with an addict mother and an unknown father, and finds himself living with his Aunt Lori, who works for the Knox family, to finish up his senior year of high school. Brinley had hoped to experience her first kiss with her boyfriend, Roman Humphries, at her birthday party, but instead she wanders into the kitchen and finds Marston and that changes the events of her life, much to her parents disapproval. Brinley and Marston share stolen moments in the flashback scenes, he helps her deal with her younger sister, Brittany's, recurring battle with cancer. In the Las Vegas scenes, Marston buys Brinley all the things he could never afford when they were together as teenagers. Marston has made something of himself in the years that they have been apart, but is still in love with Brinley. Every Little Promise is filled with wonderful characters, from the rich snobs in Brinley's flashbacks to the loving friends that both Brinley and Marston surround themselves with in the current day. I loved the way that Lexi Ryan told their story. I loved the poignant and bittersweet moments, and all the light moments from their Las Vegas adventure. It was the surprise ending that had me hooked. I loved the bittersweet ending of their story and could cannot wait to read Every Little Piece of Me when it is released.

I loved this surprise prequel for Marston and Brinley's story coming soon in Every Little Piece of Me! I am a huge fan of forbidden and second chance romance and this is perfect for me. Marston and Brinley have an unexpected reunion one night in Vegas ten years after they split up, completely brokenhearted. Back in high school, they were both each others first loves, seeing more in each other than anyone else. But he was the hired help, bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and she was the untouchable, privileged princess. They had an instant firery connection that was doomed from the start. Now they have a second chance to reconnect and they feel the sparks that never died. They only have one night together, and now that Marston is a successful businessman, he feels he is finally worthy of Brinley and is determined to make this night into so much more. But Brinley has secrets that hold her back, no matter how her heart yearns for him. I loved the way Ryan told this story is flashback sequence, giving us a peak into their lives, past and present, along with their blossoming love. I was completely captivated and it only made me crave tier story even more! I can't wait to read the rest of Marston and Brinley's story

5 Star review of Every Little Promise (Orchid Valley #0.5) by Lexi Ryan I know this will shock a lot of people, but I am relatively new to Lexi Ryan and I have absolutely no idea why that is. I absolutely loved this insight into Brinley Knox and Marston Rowe’s history and it only has me excited for Every Little Piece Of Me which is releasing in May. I was fully invested in the story that Ms. Ryan wove and fell hard and fast for both of them and was disappointed when I was finished reading this quick novella. All I can say is I am looking forward to reading their full second chance at love story.
