Adalaide is a witch and is the new vet at Horus’ animal sanctuary. At first she knows that Horus is a paranormal but doesn’t realize he’s a God. Horus asks his best friend Baal to have his girlfriend Chelsea bring Adalaide to the Speed Dating Event so he can get to know her. But when they see each other, no need for the event, they head out on their own date. I really liked Horus and Adalaide. This story is more sweet than steamy but it’s a great read, well written and a great couple. Loved it.

These two were such a sweet couple. Horus is a very quiet god, he's kept himself to himself and dedicates his time to looking after animals. He doesn't quite understand why he seems so drawn to Adelaide in comparison to other women. He has a deep love of animals and it is something that both he and Adelaide share, although it is something to connect them might there be more there as well? I loved how Laura Greenwood pulled these two together. It could have been just another boss/office romance but (in keeping with the others in this series) she has elevated it to something special.

Adelaide is thrilled to get the vet job at Horus Sanctuary right out of veterinary school. There are so many different animals and Adelaide is happy that she will eventually be able to work with all of them, it doesn't hurt that her boss Horace/Horus is hot. This story is exciting and romantic, with a nod to steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
