Ruthless King: A Dark Mafia Romance: War of Roses Universe

Wow! Another fantastic story from this author. I am so hooked on her books. This is the first Mice and Men book and I cannot wait to see how this story continues. Donatello Vanici and Willow Stepanov are two characters that are so tortured, their past is coming back into the present and along with it comes a string of mixed emotions that challenge them both. Starting this book I knew what I was getting into but this author continues to shock and amaze me with her writing style and gift of words. Once I reached the end, I was left speechless and anxious for more. Enjoy!

Dark, intense and fiercely consuming, this book captured me in its web, made me more than happy to be there and it left me desperate for the next book. Just so you are aware, this series is a spin-off of the War of Roses trilogy but can be enjoyed on its own. I do feel that having enjoyed that series made for a deeper and richer reading experience for me at least because familiar characters do make reappearances here and of course that is where we originally meet Willow/Mouse. A skillfully crafted and potent blend of deep emotions, tension, turmoil, drama and angst flow seamlessly across every page and deliver a intriguing and addicting start to a series that I need more of ASAP!!! If you love your reads gritty, raw and with a sharp edge, you are going to wanna grab your copy NOW!! Of my own accord I am posting a candid review.

There are a few authors that I truly geek out about whenever new works from them hits the shelves -- Ms. Sky is definitely one of them. I have been a huge fan girl since reading the War of Roses series and have almost all of her books. To get to go back to that world is so exciting. Ms. Sky brings her readers back to the world of WoR with the same intensity and drama you would expect from any of her books. As always, she gives us characters with a unique blend of darkness that hides a vulnerability that slices through your heart. It's a convoluted plot with characters that are so personable that is hard not to feel like you are twisted for liking them. If you are like me, Ms. Sky will often have you questioning yourself and feeling for her characters; asking "Who is the 'bad guy'? Is there a 'bad guy'?" Expect to have your expectations warped, to feel a wide range of emotions while reading this, and eagerly anticipate the next book ** Thank you to the author for the copy I re
