En se rendant au gala organisé par Xante Rossi, Karin Wallis voulait simplement voir une dernière fois le bijou hérité de son grand-père, auquel elle tient plus que tout, et que son frère a vendu à son insu au riche – et sublime – collectionneur. Mais restée seule avec le bijou, elle l’a dérobé avant de prendre la fuite. Une impulsion qu’elle regrette amèrement maintenant que Xante se dresse face à elle, furieux. Très vite, Karin comprend pourtant qu’il ne portera pas plainte. Hélas ! un sentiment d’angoisse diffus se mêle aussitôt à son soulagement : quelle contrepartie peut bien attendre d’elle cet homme qu’elle devine impitoyable ?

Carol Marinelli recently filled in a form asking for her job title. Thrilled to be able to put down her answer, she put writer. Then it asked what Carol did for relaxation and she put down the truth - writing. The third question asked for her hobbies. Well, not wanting to look obsessed she crossed the fingers on her hand and answered swimming but, given that the chlorine in the pool does terrible things to her highlights - I'm sure you can guess the real answer.
