I was a bit hesitant upon learning that a ghost writer had taken over the series after they fired Smith, so I read this one: a. to see what the commotion was about, and b. to continue reading the series in general. This was absolutely atrocious and did such a dishonor to the series, the characters, and especially to Smith. The characters threw away all their development from Smith's writing. It felt like ghost writer had a personal grudge that she took out on the characters in this book. What a waste.

I didn't know it wasn't written by L.J. Smith till reading other reviews. The entire time readings it I felt like it was a fanfic that got published. Didn't feel like Smith and did not stay true to the characters at all. Not a bad plot but not for this series.

It was great. Cant wait for the next next book. The whole Scarlett thing really want that much of a surprise. It was still sad that Cassie was so innocent and native and how she went to help her,and stuff...
