About this ebook

What would you do...

...if your best friend were plotting the annihilation of a small, furry neighborhood poodle? Or if your parents up and moved to an Outward Bound-type survival camp in the middle of the desert? How about if your grandmother bought you new bras and underwear -- and you actually thought they were a teensy bit, umm, sexy?

Most people would not react well.

Tess Whistle's junior year of high school is off to a fairly bizarre start. One might even say her life is spiraling out of control. But with her sense of humor firmly intact and her first real boyfriend on her arm, Tess is dealing with the ridiculous twists quite well, thankyouverymuch.

Just wait until her shoes explode.

Let me just say that I so totally LOVE Kristen Tracy's style of writing and the front cover was what really drew me in. This was my very first read by her and I just have to say, it had me reeled in from the beginning with how they met, to the very end. As for the ending, I am a big sucker for "couples ending together" and recently, in my cases with book this hasn't been happening which is why I was a little bit upset (this was passed over from Judy Blume's "Forever..." when Michael and Kat didn't end up together!) All in all, I liked this book because, it was very down to earth & they didn't hype you about them doing it but they did hype you about the way their relationship developed and ended, and that was only to brace the fall of them breaking up! In a Word: GENIUS! I loved her best friend, she reminded me of me in a way - I could see myself doing something along those lines & honestly, had my parents done that to me, I would've been that upset like she was. I thought it was interesting that she didn't admit to him once she saw him again that she was in fact NOT a diabetic to clear the air(ain't nothing wrong with drinking apple juice...) and considering she called it an embarrassing moment, one would think she would have said "I'm not a diabetic... I just wanted you to not think I was a baby for drinking apple juice..." had she been more honest with him; I don't think he would have dumped her in the way that he did and maybe he wouldn't have gotten so upset about the hamster.

Tess Whistle. Lives in idaho. Life is pretty boring up until her parents go to a survival camp in utah leaving her alone with her crazy grandma & her bestfriend blowing up a poodle and moves away and Tess who's falling for a senior. Tess is pretty inexperienced but once she starts to do things with her current senior boyfriend she cant stop. I personally loved this book. The characters were funny and unpredictable and very easy to relate to.
