Kiss Me, Your Grace

SPOILER ⚠️ ALERT ⚠️ A very well written book. A humorous, sweet, and enjoyable book that can be read within a couple of hours. It gives you a warm, fuzzy, happy feeling. HIGHLY recommend you read this if you are looking for HEA I would have liked to have had more story/details at the end of the book. You went into details of how her aunt dressed, how The Duke dressed several times, and what his sister wore. I would have liked it if you had described her wedding dress, her Aunt and Uncle's reactions at the wedding, her Uncle's last words before he walked her down the aisle, the Duke's reaction to coming towards him, etc. And at least a scene where she meets his brothers. And in the epilogue his family is in the crowd, where are her Aunt and Uncle?

Margaret Haselden decided there was a prowler lurking outside her home after three nights She Informed Her Uncle Chas who sent her coachman to investigate no one found anything. Margaret knew that there was somebody there and her and her maid thought of a way to discover who it was, the maid didn't like the idea though. Margaret snuck out of the house she was going to confront the prowler; someone had been rummaging in the garbage bends she called for him to come out no one answered. She called again, and out of the corner of her eye she saw someone behind the milk crates she longed for the crate it cell then it began to rattle and shake and danced across the pavement a small brown dog emerged from the great and Margaret fell in love the dog was no peeping Tom no prowler just a little hungry dog she picked them up and took and carried them into the house. So her in the maid went to the kitchen to bathe Clover after all that's what she named the dog then all sorts of trouble occurred Clover didn't want to bath he got loose they couldn't catching and who should happen to come up on the scene her Uncle Chas who told them they were going to have to clean up the kitchen and not leave a mess for the servants when they came in the morning. The next morning Margaret and Susan took Clover for a walk in Regents Park. Edward, the 11th Duke of St. Lawrence was in the park walking his dog Tiger this was the Duke's favorite part of the day. Margaret and Susan was walking Clover when he slipped his lead found Tiger and bit him in the back leg or hip area after the Duke got him off of Tiger Margaret reached out and grabbed Clover and he bit her then promptly buried himself in her skirts the Duke called him a rat or in a mongrel and told her that he should be in the stables the alley the gutter art the blood is sewer the dog was uncivilized and dangerous and shouldn't be in a public park. Margaret offered to pay for the services of a veterinarian and the cost of his care Duke told her to keep her money of course now Margaret didn't realize he was the Duke. Now to find out what else happens and who else Clover bites you have to read the book. And it's a good book...

What a charming story that had me smiling and laughing in the first chapter! Margaret kept hearing something every night outside her window and thought they were rummaging in the trash and slinking around the house. Set to confront whoever it was, she finds instead a little terrior dog and brings him in. She names him Clover and he is very unrully! Let the fun begin! Edward Cherrill, the Duke of St Lawrence loves his prize bulldog Tiger. Walking him in the park early one morning, this little terror runs out of the bushes and attacks Tiger! Of course Margaret catches up and tries to grab the little scoundrel! He gives her advice on trying to handle the dog and she is quiet contrite at what happened. Fate and a pair of dogs brought these two together. Edward is such a by the book stern character.. "He was no mere Duke, he was the Duke. The eleventh Duke of St Lawrence, well known and respected." So you see he came a long way to loosing up as they spent time together. But she was the orphan daughter of two missonaries and he was the Duke! Could the friendship they began go anywhere else? Allyson Jeleyne has created a warmhearted tale that lightened my heart when I needed it most! Her descriptions and the lively banter and antics of the dogs kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next.
