Of course, Frank Miller's run will be the high water mark of Daredevil. But Kevin Smith perfectly relaunched what had become a stagnant character. Kevin was a great choice; as a Catholic he can identify with so much of Matt Murdock's inner struggles to make sense of his crazy world and life in general. Guardian Devil is a must read for any comic fan. I consider it perfect.

In the late 90's, with Marvel on a sharp downturn, a limited number of properties were turned over to Joe Quesada & Jimmy Palmiotti- and so came MARVEL KNIGHTS. For DD's relaunch they brought on board wordsmith Kev Smith to make his comic writing debut. Guardian Devil was a lauded success and rocketed DD to the bestsellers list for the first time in a very long time. Great story and an important piece of Marvel history, with the shocking outcome for a major charcter. Enjoy this book with Michael Giacchino's LET ME IN score. Very Hell's Kitchen.

This was actually the first super hero comic I read, and I loved it. The story is very engaging, and you get the chance to relate to dare devil. What I liked the best from this comic was the fact that daredevil is more of a rogue-ish sort of hero who doesn't fit in to the "good guy" stereotype. Aside from his capabilities, he's very easily relatable because of how human his character is. I encourage anyone to pick up this book.
