Claire and Théo’s story in To Rescue a Runaway Bride by Kelsey McKnight, book three in her Hollingsworth Sister series, is a wonderful, heartwarming, sweet, enjoyable tale that I could not put down. Claire Hollingsworth was the Perfect Princess, always playing by the rules, trying to please her father she gave up her dreams, and became an accountant for her family’s publishing business. Claire also played the perfect hostess and fiancée for her ambitious fiancé, giving up hobbies and other joys that he didn’t approve. When she learns he cheated on her weeks just before their wedding, she decided enough was enough; breaking the engagement and heading to Marietta, Montana to spend some time with her sisters. Deciding to live life as she wanted to, instead of as others expected, Claire creates a list of adventures for herself; possibly breaking a few rules. Théodore Deschamps left his successful career as a Hollywood stuntman, starting over by opening a lodge on Copper Mountain; a place he spent summers as a child. Théo enjoys nothing more than a challenge, so when he finds an injured, beautiful strawberry blonde he is ready to open his arms and help her. As Théo helps Claire check off the items on her list, they find the magnetic attraction and sizzling chemistry bring them together; sharing days and nights together. Claire is enjoying her time with Théo, helping him prepare the lodge for opening; making not look forward to returning to her old life. If Claire could work it out, figure it out, maybe, just maybe, she won’t have to say goodbye, but stay in Marietta with Théo and be near her sisters. Ms. McKnight wrote a wonderful filled with sizzling chemistry, magnetism, wonderful dialogue, and endearing characters giving Claire and Théo a chance to stay together, loving each other. I highly recommend To Rescue a Runaway Bride to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

If Claire's fiance hadn't cheated on her and claimed he would just pay off his mistress and love child, I would have told her to dump him anyway. He made her change her herself to be a mold of what he wanted and give up things she loved like dancing. But he gave her a reason to run away to Marietta to be with her sisters. Theo is a sexy ex-stuntman with a gorgeous French accent, a wonderful cook, with an amazing library who becomes the perfect guy for Claire to have a fling with to get over her ex. She laughs with him and he encourages her to enjoy life and go for what she loves instead of settling for what others expect. I wish I had a bit of that courage in my own life. Of course the path to true love is not smooth, but what's romance without a little drama.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it. First I just want to say that the author needs to continue this series. Find some cousins and tell their stories or another book with a double wedding for the twins?!?!?!?! I adored this story and wish I could have given it a higher star count than a mere 5. I was sad to see this series end but was looking forward to Claire's story. The author did a wonderful job and giving her the perfect foil for the "Perfect Princess". Claire comes to Marietta, MN before her older sister's wedding. She just broke up with her fiance, Matthew. Matthew had an affair with his secretary and was pregnant. The worst part, to Claire, he was going to have nothing to do with the child and just pay child support. Theo was a stuntman in Hollywood. A close friend and fellow stuntman was injured and it was a wake up call to Theo. After 10 years he needed to leave. He had another friend who was an investor that helped him to buy a mountain lodge outside of Marietta. After the place being abandoned for two years, it just needed a little work but Theo has grand plans for the reopening. While Theo walks around town to get acquainted with Marietta, he spots an intriguing woman. He follows her into the florist and helps her pick out flowers for her soon-to-be married sister. The meeting between Theo and Claire was dynamic. The sparks just flew between them. I adored Theo and the support he gave to Claire. He was the ultimate male protagonist to me. I was so sorry to see this story end as well as the series. I would definitely give this a 20 star recommendation to anyone over the age of 18. There were a few sexy scenes but nothing that was overly graphic in nature. Also while this was a part of a series, you really don't have to read the others, even as the characters make multiple appearances. I would highly suggest that you do read them as they are wonderful stories in their own right.
